About Digital PSAT

The PSAT, or Preliminary SAT, is a practice version of the SAT exam. Taken once a year, usually in 10th and 11th grade, it can qualify you for a National Merit Scholarship if you score well.

The test lasts 2 hours and 45 minutes, covering reading, writing, and math, with a maximum score of 1520.
Reading and writing
In the Reading & Writing section of the Digital PSAT, you'll engage with short reading passages or pairs of passages, each followed by a single multiple-choice question. These questions cover four main content domains:

1. Craft and Structure
2. Information and Ideas
3. Standard English Conventions
4. Expression of Ideas

Passages, ranging from 25 to 150 words, span subjects such as literature, history/social studies, the humanities, and science.
Maths
The Math section of the Digital PSAT hones in on critical areas pivotal for college and career success:

1. Algebra  1
2. Algebra 2
3. Geometry and Trigonometry

Divided into two modules, this section encompasses both multiple-choice and student-produced response questions. These assess your fluency, understanding, and application of essential concepts, skills, and practices.

Around 30% of the questions are contextual, prompting you to apply math skills within real-world scenarios from science, social studies, or everyday life.
